This conference provides a unique meeting place for the leading biomedical engineering scientists, from Sweden and other, medical doctors and industry leaders, who will present their latest scientific and technological advances. It is a highly multidisciplinary conference that focuses on the various disciplines of biomedical engineering, including medical instrumentation, imaging, nano-medicine, tissue engineering, neuro-engineering, drug release, etc.
BioMed Conference 2020 disseminates biological, medical and engineering advances of fundamental, technological, therapeutic, translational or clinical nature that can directly relate to or inspire improvements in human health or healthcare. The emphasis is on advances that draw on both the biomedical sciences and the physical sciences, engineering, mathematics/ informatics.
The scope hence excludes advances that improve the understanding of human biology or disease but whose relevance for health or healthcare is judged to be insufficient, as well as advances that do not make use of principles or tools from the physical sciences or engineering.

Bioengineering includes mathematical modeling of the living organisms, designing and calculation of algorithms which helps to find out biological signals, bioinformatics, applications of micro-electromechanical systems, molecular engineering, nanotechnology and utilization of signal processing and control algorithms of artificial body parts.
